We are thrilled to be hosting legendary winemaker Jen Parr whose passion for wine, VALLI and winemaking knows no bounds. Jen will be presenting the story of VALLI through a comparison of sub-regional wines and current styles.
When Grant Taylor established VALLI in 1998, a little over 20 hectares of grapes were planted; today there are over 2,000 hectares. Fuelled by his philosophy to showcase purity of expression and terroir-driven differences between Otago’s sub-regions, his vision was fortified when established winemaker Jen Parr arrived on the VALLI scene a decade ago, seeking her place to make high-quality, site-expressive wines with honesty and integrity.
Together, Jen and Grant craft wines with a sense of place and season and have grown to become essential to the fabric of the New Zealand wine story as one of our most coveted and successful wineries. To celebrate, we are bringing you a taste of the just-released commemorative 25th Anniversary Cuvée – the 2022 VALLI Gibbston Pinot Noir – alongside a delicious 5-course degustation menu to complete the sensory delight. A special evening not to be missed!
